Ins & Outs | Defender returns

Sydney FC have confirmed their squad for the clash against Melbourne City at Allianz Stadium with Ufuk Talay able to welcome one back into his squad.

Having sat out of action for roughly six weeks, Joel King is included in the extended squad for Saturday afternoon’s family friendly kick off against the reigning premiers. The left back injured his foot in early January against Brisbane Roar and has slowly worked his way back to fitness.

Jack Rodwell has been doing modified training with the group and is nearing a return, while Aaron Gurd returned to running on grass this week following a fracture in his leg.

Pat Wood remains out with a stress fracture in his left ankle and is set to miss the remainder of the season.
