Indiana Dos Santos has gotten some competitive minutes under her belt prior to the start of the Liberty A-League season with the U17 Australian Women’s side.
Indi is currently in Hanoi competing in the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers and the Green and Gold got off to a good start with a 6-2 victory over the Philippines.
She has been in camp for a little over a week now and were made to work for the victory, going behind by 2-0 after the first 20 minutes. The Aussies would eventually fight back, scoring six unanswered in reply, setting up a top of the table clash with hosts Vietnam who beat Bangladesh 2-0 in the other match in the group.
This match takes place on Friday 22nd of September, kicking off at 10pm AEST.
For Dos Santos, she has been a regular in the Australia U17 squads for the last year and still being only 15, has plenty more years ahead of her in these teams.
Indi will be back in time for the start of the Liberty A-League season.
