Indiana Dos Santos has been recognised on the global stage once again, earning a place among the world’s elite young players after being ranked 17th in the prestigious NXGN 2026 list.
Compiled annually by GOAL, the NXGN rankings highlight the top 25 teenage wonderkids in women’s football, showcasing the brightest emerging talents from across the globe.
For Sydney FC, the inclusion of Dos Santos is further proof of the club’s continued production and development of world-class young players.
Still only 18, the attacking midfielder has enjoyed a meteoric rise in Sky Blue. After becoming the club’s youngest debutant at just 15 years old in 2023 (this record has since been broken by Willa Pearson), Dos Santos quickly established herself as a key figure in the first team, playing an increasingly influential role throughout the 2023-24 campaign.
Her breakout season saw her take the Ninja A-League by storm, earning the competition’s Young Footballer of the Year award and drawing widespread praise for her creativity, composure and football intelligence beyond her years alongside call ups to the Australian U17 and U20’s sides, captaining her country at the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup.
Despite her rapid ascent, the teenager has faced adversity, suffering an ACL injury in mid-2025 that temporarily halted her momentum. However, her mentality and determination have been widely praised, with many backing her to return stronger and continue her upward trajectory.
Already a two-time A-League Women champion and a regular representative at youth international level for Australia, Dos Santos’ recognition in the NXGN rankings cements her status as one of the most exciting prospects in world football.
