The Sky Blues currently sit two points off third place and come into the game with a strong record at Hunter Stadium, having only lost three of the 13 games played there.
“Everyone-s focussed and looking forward to this week,” Jurman said.
“Hopefully we can put a good performance on and get a good result. It-s a big game up in Newcastle for us and if we can get a result it will be huge.”
The Sky Blues face one of the Hyundai A-League-s current in-form strikers, in Adam Taggart, and Jurman says he-s up to the challenge posed by the league-s current top goal scorer.
“Of course [I look forward to taking him on],” said Jurman.
“He-s in good form and it-s good to be playing players in form. If we can stop these players while they-re in form then we-re doing a good job.”
With the Jets facing the Sky Blues on their home soil for the first time this season Jurman is expecting the home side to come out determined as they look for retribution for their previous two defeats.
“They-re going to come out firing,” Jurman said.
“It-s at their home ground as well so they-ll want to come out for at least the first 15 minutes and put us under pressure.
“It-s going to be tough but we need to stay together and play well and if we play well the results will come.”
