Sydney FC host their only home #SydneyDerby of the 2019/20 season on Saturday afternoon as the cross-town rivalry comes to Netstrata Jubilee Stadium.
Midfielders Milos Ninkovic and Pirmin Schwegler are instrumental to each side, and will no doubt play a hand in deciding where the three points return to post-match.
Serbian international, and 2016/17 Johnny Warren Medal winner, Milos Ninkovic continues to be at the forefront of everything the Sky Blues do, helping Head Coach Steve Corica’s side to a 13 point lead at the top of the Hyundai A-League ladder.
Schwegler is receiving his first taste of Hyundai A-League football this season, and has started every game he’s played in, with the Wanderers languishing four points outside the top six.
The Sky Blues are in form, remaining undefeated in their previous 13 Hyundai A-League games (including Finals Series) at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium, and will be confident of another result at their fortress.
Let’s look at the ‘Tale of the Tape’ between the two midfielders.

While the stats are close between the two foreign midfielders, Ninkovic’s deployment in an advanced role sees his goal and assist contributions outweigh the Swiss’ impact on the Wanderers side.
Ninkovic also leads the pair for key passes made and just nudges the Swiss for passing accuracy, while the more defensive minded Schwegler comes out on top in duels won.
