To all our Member and fans, I hope you and your loved ones enjoyed a wonderful Christmas and New Year, and that you are looking ahead to a positive and prosperous 2026.
It promises to be an exciting year for Sydney FC, with some huge matches, plenty happening both on and off the pitch, and we are delighted to have you with us on the journey ahead.
We begin with our exciting return to Allianz Stadium this Sunday against Wellington Phoenix – a fantastic occasion following the recent improvement works to the playing surface, which looks stunning, and the upgrade to the stadium pa system.

Just two weeks later we host the Sydney Derby Double Header on Saturday, January 31st at 5pm, it’s always one of the highlights of the season and for the first time, a Sydney Derby Double Header to be staged at Allianz Stadium.
To further enhance the matchday experience, we are working closely with venues across the Entertainment Quarter to deliver a significantly improved pre-game and fan offering for the remainder of the season at Allianz Stadium. This will include player signing sessions at Watson’s bar starting with Joe Lolley and Al-Hassan Toure this Sunday from 3pm to 3.45pm and there will be drinks discounts for Members and ticket holders.

Sydney FC Members can also take advantage of 20% discounts at the EQ water park and golf simulator at EQ ahead of the game, while the stadium will have food and drink promotions, enhanced entertainment and a more vibrant matchday atmosphere.

These activations will run across all remaining fixtures at the venue – including our Valentine’s Day clash with Adelaide Untied, a St Patrick’s Day meeting with Melbourne City, and an ANZAC Day weekend match-up against Auckland FC. There is certainly plenty to look forward to.

While the past six months have presented challenges, our on-field performances have remained strong. Our Men’s side has been highly competitive, spending a significant portion of the season on top of the table, and the squad put in a fabulous performance to win 3-0 at Macarthur FC on Saturday in tough conditions.
Our Women’s team started the season well finding themselves in first place, and with games in hand and over half the season to go, they have enough matches to ensure a successful end to the campaign. Both have a clear focus on a big Finals Series and the potential for qualifying for the Asian Champions League once again.

At the same time, we are progressing long-term planning to ensure Sydney FC’s continued use of Allianz Stadium, as the spiritual home of our great club. We are also investing in our future at Sky Park, including the appointment of a new groundskeeping team, upgraded fencing to protect the playing surface, and new goals – all aimed at ensuring facilities that meet professional football standards and support sustained success.
Regardless of external factors, our focus remains firmly on building top-class football teams and delivering outstanding fan experiences. These investments are about safeguarding the future of our Club.

We are proud to already have the leading youth pathways in the country, supported by facilities that continue to develop young talent. Many of our players are representing Australia at Under-17, and Under-20’s level and Mathias Macallister is currently away scoring goals for the Under-23‘s. We are committed to seeing even more Sky Blues progress to the Socceroos and Matildas in the years ahead.
Looking beyond the Club, 2026 is a landmark year for Australian football. The AFC Asian Women’s Cup Australia 2026 and the FIFA World Cup 2026 in March and June will be followed by the Sydney Super Cup in July, when we welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Allianz Stadium – ensuring football remains front and centre throughout the year.
There is much to be excited about for Sydney FC and for the game in Australia. Thank you, as always, for your continued support. We look forward to sharing a fantastic 2026 with you.
