Italian football maestro Alessandro Del Piero wants this Sunday-s home game with Melbourne Heart to be the springboard that spurs Sydney FC on a roll to the Finals.
The marquee man is urging his team mates and the Sky Blues- loyal fans to join forces at Allianz Stadium and start the push.
“We need to use these two home games [including Wellington Phoenix Sat 19th Jan] with our fans to create not only a win but everything that can help us for more wins,” said the Italian legend.
Del Piero was given a rough time by Melbourne Heart players in their last encounter at Allianz Stadium but is not concerned about being a target for other player-s wayward tackles.
“I tried to call John Aloisi before this game to say something,” he joked. “Sometimes my legs say that I am [a target] but it has happened all of my career so it-s not a problem for me.
“Every game is a hard game for sure, including the last one against Heart but I will do my best and think only about our players and my team mates.
“What happens on the field stays on the field,” he concluded.
You can see this Finals Series six-pointer against the Melbourne Heart this Sunday, January 13th. Tickets are available from Ticketek starting at just $25 for adults. Kick off is at 5pm. It should be an occasion to bring all the family.
