Brett Emerton believes Brisbane Roar do have weaknesses and says Sydney will be looking to exploit them on Sunday at Kogarah-s WIN Jubilee Oval.
The Sky Blues meet the Roar as the Queenslanders look to extend their record as Australia-s longest unbeaten team to 37 matches.
But Emerton believes they-re not invincible.
“We troubled them especially in the first 45 minutes back at the SFS, hopefully we can do the same over a 90 minute period this time.
“We-re taking confidence and looking at the things we did well in that game.
“Like any other team they have their weaknesses and we-ll try and pinpoint them. We did create chances in the first game and we-ll hope to do more of the same, but this time take our opportunities. “
The Roar could also be without star midfielder Thomas Broich which the former Blackburn Rovers man says is a bonus.
“He-s obviously a great player and a large part of Brisbane-s success, so if he-s missing it-ll be a positive.
“But I think they-re a team full of many talented players, so it-s going to be tough no matter which eleven players take to the pitch.”
Ticket sales are going very well for the fixture and Emerton is excited to see a bumper crowd.
“I-m really looking forward to it. By all reports it-s going to be a fantastic crowd so hopefully they-ll turn out in many numbers and give us their support.
“It-ll be a fantastic experience.”
