Sydney FC’s Harrison Devenish-Meares has been named the Isuzu UTE A-League Goalkeeper of the Year, whilst also claiming Save of the Year at the Dolan Warren Awards.
The shot stopper took home a host of honours from the Dolan Warren Awards, including Goalkeeper of the Year, becoming only Sydney FC’s fourth goalkeeper to do so and also earning Save of the Year for his efforts in denying a certain goal against Auckland FC earlier this year.

The recognition comes following a standout campaign from the 28-year-old, who was essential in Sydney’s return to the Isuzu UTE A-League Grand Final, establishing himself as one of the competition’s top performers between the sticks.
Looking at his stats from this season it’s easy to see why. Devenish-Meares enjoyed a career-best season, recording 12 clean sheets this Isuzu UTE A-League season, ranking first in save percentage [79.8%] and goals prevented [6.6] as well as second in goals saved per 90 minutes [3.8].

The awards add to an already impressive list of honours this season, including selection as captain in the PFA Team of the Season, 5 player of the match performances on Fotmob and two nominations for PFA Player of the Month.
Devenish-Meares will now embrace the chance to end his standout campaign with an Isuzu UTE A-League Championship when the Sky Blues take on Auckland FC this Saturday.
