Sydney FC captain Terry McFlynn believes the crowd for tonight-s game against Adelaide United will be all important if the Sky Blues are to come away with the three points.
The Reds will be boosted by the appointment of former Sydney FC coach John Kosmina, who takes charge of his first A-League game since leaving Sydney two years ago, and a strong vocal backing from the home crowd could help bring them back down.
“We-re looking forward to a very big crowd coming to the SFS to watch us play the game,” said McFlynn.
“We-ve been away from here for the last few weeks now. We-ve picked up a lot of good results away from home, albeit our last home game was at Kogarah which was a great result against Brisbane Roar.
“The 3 membership packs are still on sale at the minute and I urge all the fans to go out and buy them for the next three home games here at the SFS.”
Kosmina joins up with the Adelaide club in crisis and sitting second bottom on the ladder.
McFlynn says Sydney are prepared for a new coach backlash from the opposition.
“For us it’s just another game, we’re looking forward to it and like you say John Kosmina a former coach here has now taken over at Adelaide.
“I’m sure he’ll be welcomed back to the SFS.”
Why not have an early Christmas cracker and start the festivities by coming to this important game. Tickets are still available from Ticketek.
