Sydney FC striker Mark Bridge says confidence is still high going among the club despite three consecutive defeats on the pitch.

The character the Sky Blues have shown coming back and winning games throughout the season is still apparent Bridge says, when asked if morale is still good among the players.

“Surprisingly yeah, usually everyone-s down when you-re losing. The good signs for us are that we-re still playing some good patches of football,” he said.

“We-re still starting off pretty slow, conceding first and sometimes conceding early which makes it tough.

“Other than that there are some good patches and some positive notes. All we-ve got to do now is start off on a positive foot.”

The Sky Blues face the reigning champions Brisbane at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday night. Bridge believes Sydney can take a lot from their 2-0 win over the Roar at Kogarah in December, which put paid to the Queenslander-s record unbeaten streak.

“We got a game plan, everything that worked against them at Kogarah, I mean defending as a unit, not getting too strung out we-ll be doing again. We just have to take our chances as well.”
