Wednesday night’s game has had to be postponed due to a freak storm which stopped Perth from travelling.
Sydney beat the Glory 1-0 at the nib Stadium last month but had to withstand a second half onslaught to hold onto the 3 points.
“Last time we were over there we probably stole the points. We worked hard but we could have come away with less, so they-ll be over here to prove a point.
“We-ve got to really be switched on,” said Cole.
After ending Brisbane-s unbeaten streak of 36 matches on Sunday, spirit is high in the club and the defender says it-s a day he-ll look back on fondly.
“It was good, it was special. It was a nice day for the club.
“It-s nice to be able to say it was us (who ended the run). To be responsible for it is, I guess, something to be proud of.
“It-s really just as important as any other 3 points but I-m sure as every other team can appreciate it was a lot to overcome to get those 3 points.”
Shannon also appreciated the lengths the fans went to getting to the game, which was moved to Kogarah-s WIN Jubilee Stadium because of a concert at the SFS.
“We had a fantastic crowd for a day which was really looking pretty horrible at the start of it weatherwise, so thank you to all of the fans that turned up, it was a really good effort from them.”
Coach Vitezslav Lavicka will have to decide whether to bring Scott Jamieson back into the side against Gold Coast United on Sunday after he was replaced by Cole at left back due to suspension.
“Obviously for him, he was unfortunate to be out suspended so I was thrown in to do a job.
“I thought I did alright but it-s not my call it-s up to the coaching staff.”
