Sydney FC’s head of strength and conditioning, Andrew Clark, gives us his top health tips for this week and the key fitness messages he’s been pushing to the boys ahead of their season opener this Saturday at Allianz Stadium against Melbourne City (kick off 7:30pm).
My message for this week is to keep it balanced!
I’m always stressing to the players the importance and about energy input and output by matching their training demands with dietary intake in regards to protein carbohyrates and fat demands.
This involves educating the players with their energy input and output regarding how much energy they burn in training and how much energy they put in their mouth and what types of energy they are putting in their mouth such as protein and carbohydrates.
In following weeks i’ll be providing further tips and well being advide as we lead into the summer months so keep an eye out for my advice in our next Newsletter.
