CEO Message To Sydney FC Members

To our loyal Members,

I would like to thank you for your fantastic support during this A-Leagues season and for helping make Sydney FC the best supported club in the country.

Our return to Allianz Stadium has rejuvenated the club and we are very appreciative of all your support.

The atmosphere at our home matches has been fantastic and this has contributed to our club breaking its Membership record, as well as having the highest average attendances for any team in the A-Leagues competition.

Over 19,000 people signed up for a Sydney FC Membership and our average crowd at Allianz Stadium was in excess of 17,000 – our best regular season, average attendance in eight seasons.

Your support has been phenomenal and we would love to see you back supporting us again next season.

We have been treated to some very memorable moments this past Men’s and Women’s season including many history making achievements.

Our Women’s squad continue their dominance of the Liberty A-League and richly deserved to win both the Premiers Plate and Championship. I congratulate our entire squad and the coaching and medical staff on this success. In great news for the club, Head Coach Ante Juric has agreed a contract extension that will see him remain for another two years.

Celebrating the A-League Women’s Double Win

Our Men’s squad enjoyed some fabulous performances capped by a thrilling Elimination Final win against Western Sydney Wanderers at their home ground.  We also gave everything in two games against Melbourne City in the semi-final and were it not for the red card, I’m convinced we’d be playing our fourth Grand Final in five years.

Overall, we finished in fifth on the ladder, which is not where we expect to be, however we showed great form in the back half of the season. Our Men have improved year-on-year and the emergence of some exciting young stars definitely bodes well for our future.

At the end of every season we conduct a thorough review of both the Men’s and Women’s campaigns and we intend to do begin that process in the next few days as we prepare for the 2023-24 season.

To those players who will be leaving the club in the off-season, I’d like to thank you for your efforts and wish you all the best for the future.

Our Academy and National Premier League squads continue to play throughout the next few months and it is very exciting to see how well our young players are developing.

Please do your best to get out to Valentine Sports Park and other venues to support them whenever you can.

In the meantime, we start planning towards next season in earnest.  You will have already received your information on 2023-24 Membership packages and we look forward to seeing you again next season.
