Hello again guys, I hope you are all well and, like me, delighted with the news we can finally get back to playing some football very soon.

It’s great that all the parties within the game have come together and worked out a collective solution to give us a time to get back to training and enable us to begin playing again in mid-July.

It’s something we can all look forward to and as a group of players right across the league, we have always been committed to finishing the season.

I think it will be like a festival of football with so many matches crammed into a period of about a month.  That will be great for the Members and fans, who have been starved of football, to be able to watch a game almost every day.

It’s going to be a challenge playing so many games in such a short space of time.  We have six remaining whereas other teams only have three.  It means we are going to have to make sure that our month of training, once we get back, is really intense so we can be ready.

Over the next couple of weeks we will start ramping up our preparations individually as well, so we can hit the ground running for that mid-June date.

Playing games every three days I expect we will need to rotate the squad and that will give some players an opportunity as well, which will be excellent.

However the end goal is about achieving what we set out to do when the season started last year and that is winning back to back Championships, as well as the Premiers Plate.

Once we win those first two games and wrap up the Plate, we can concentrate on ensuring our form and fitness is on point heading into the Finals.

It will be a busy period but one we are looking forward to, I hope you are too.
