Sydney FC star Brett Emerton has made an instant impression on school kids after running a football skills coaching course for pupils at Hills Grammar School.
Sydney FC star Brett Emerton has made an instant impression on school kids after running a football skills coaching course for pupils at Hills Grammar School.
The clinic was set up by Brett-s player partner for Sydney FC, Spotless who have a long term relationship with the school.
“It-s great to see Spotless took the initiative to set up the clinic and it went very well,” said Emerton.
“The kids participated well and it looked like they were enjoying themselves out there, which makes it enjoyable for us as well.”
The 30 pupils, who were split into two year groups aged between 13 and 17, thoroughly enjoyed the session and were delighted to meet and be coached by a two time World Cup representative for Australia.
“It was great meeting a Socceroo and an A-League player,” they said. “We learned how to control the ball and shoot, and how to dribble and pass the ball.”
