The date, time and venue have all been set for the Australia Cup Semi Final between Sydney FC and Melbourne City.
Sydney FC eased their way past Western United on Sunday afternoon with goals to Anthony Caceres, Pat Wood and Jack Rodwell proving the difference on a stunning Sunday afternoon in Sydney’s Inner West.
Following the 90 minutes, the draw was done live from Leichhardt Oval and the Sky Blues were drawn against Isuzu UTE A-League Premiers Melbourne City in a mouthwatering clash, with Melbourne Knights and Brisbane Roar lining up in the other Semi Final.
City had a tough game against South Australian outfit Metro Stars and needed two late goals to overcome the NPL outfit. including a stoppage time penalty that was initially saved then put in on the follow up.
Both Semi Finals will take place on Sunday 24th of September with Melbourne City and Sydney FC taking place at AAMI Park in Melbourne, kicking off at 3pm AEST and the other semi, following at 6pm AEST at Knights Stadium.
Tickets for this clash will go on sale shortly from Melbourne City and further details will be communicated in due course.
