The tallest out of Sydney FC’s three first team goalkeepers, Anthony Bouzanis is also the youngest. Bouzanis trained with the Sydney FC youth team in 2011/12 before becoming a full member of the squad for the 2013/14 season. He was a member of the Sydney FC youth squad that finished third in the international youth tournament, the Thanhnien Newspaper Cup in Vietnam in October 2012. He has represented New South Wales under 13’s and also played for Sutherland, Marconi and Sydney Olympic. He won the NSWPL under 14’s title while at Marconi and only recently switched to the position of goalkeeper at a later age than most. He was selected as one of three Young Socceroos goalkeepers to compete at the 2013 Under 20 World Cup in Turkey and earned a first team position for the Hyundai A-League 2014/15 season under new Head Coach Graham Arnold and will again compete with Vedran Janjetovic and Ivan Necevski for the Hyundai A-League 2015/16 season.
