The Group Stage fixtures for our maiden AFC Asian Champions League 2 have been locked in with the Sky Blues set to play three home matches and three away between September and December.
Sydney FC were drawn into Group E and will face off against Japanese side Sanfrecce Hiroshima, Hong Kong’s Eastern FC and Philippines’ Kaya F.C.–Iloilo.
The Sky Blues will play their home matches from Netstrata Jubilee Stadium in Kogarah and begin the group stage at home against Eastern FC on Thursday 19th September, kicking off at 8pm AEST.
Sydney FC will then travel away for the next two matchdays, heading first to the Philippines to take on Kaya on Thursday 3rd of October before another journey on Thursday 24th October to Hiroshima, kicking off at 7pm local time in Japan.
The Sky Blues will then return home to host Sanfrecce on Matchday Four and following that clash, will travel to Hong Kong to take on Eastern FC on Thursday 28th November.
Ufuk Talay’s side will round out their group stage with a home match against Kaya at the same location that they beat them 5-0 at in an AFC Champions League qualifier in 2022.
