14’ | LEVIN SHOT – Levin receives the ball with time from 30 yards out and decides to take a shot from far, but the ball is sent high over the bar for a Hinz goal kick.
17’ | FAMILTON ONE ON ONE – Familton receives the ball heading into Sydney FC’s half and drives into the space before facing Hinz one on one, but the Sydney FC keeper does well to close the angle, and the shot deflects off the right post and is ultimately cleared.

MATCH REPORT
Sydney FC avoid the wooden spoon with a 0-0 draw away from home against the Central Coast Mariners.
The game opened with Central Coast Mariners controlling possession early, but Sydney FC held strong with five Sky Blues at the back and were able to keep the Mariners big chances to a minimum.
The 17th minute of the game was a big test for Sydney FC’s goalkeeper Heather Hinz who faced a one on one.
Familton received a goal kick and took a touch to find the space in behind the Sky Blues back four to drive forward towards Sydney FC’s goal.
She forced Hinz to close the angle, which sent the ball off the right post and clear to keep Sydney FC level.
The Sky Blues were able to use quick breaks to catch the Mariners off guard as seen in the 36th minute which saw Lemon pose a threat as she drove the ball on the left side. However, the ball is crossed too long, and the scoreboard sits the way it started entering the second half.
The second half saw Syndey FC remain compact on defense and waiting for their moments to counterattack. In the 75th minute, Tanner and Luchtmeijer look threatening as Luchtmeijer drives on the right side and finds Tanner in space however Baumann does well to shut down the attack.
The second last minute of regular time saw a Sydney FC corner find the head of Fenton who hits the crossbar before a goal line scramble emerges which ultimately results in Hughes clearing the ball to reject the hopes of a last minute winner for the Sky Blues.
The 3rd minute of added time saw a through ball played on the ground into Sydney FC’s box but Hinz does well to control the space and earn possession of the ball which secures Sydney FC a crucial point to avoid the wooden spoon as their season comes to a close.
