Jack Steele is the co-founder of The Inspired Unemployed, a leading Australian digital media brand known for its viral comedy content and innovative cross-industry collaborations. With a background in the trades, Jack transitioned from working as a plasterer in his hometown of Minnamurra, to becoming one of Australia’s most recognisable creative entrepreneurs.
Since co-founding The Inspired Unemployed in 2019, Jack Steele has played a central role in growing the brand into a diversified media enterprise, with a presence across social media, television, podcasting, and live entertainment.
Jack is the co-creator of Better Beer, a zero-carb beverage that has made a significant impact on the Australian drinks market and is now distributed nationally across Australia and New Zealand.
In 2021, Jack launched a Spotify-exclusive podcast, which became one of Australia’s top five podcasts. Often using humor to address topics like anxiety, relationships, and self-image that resonated with a broad audience. Launching in 2023, Jack co-starred in the television series The Inspired Unemployed (Impractical Jokers), which has since entered its third season. In 2025, he and co-founder Matt Ford launched The List, a six-part comedic travel and challenge series.
