Sydney FC have gone down to Newcastle Jets in a tense top of the table clash
Following a rapid start in which Jets striker O’Donovan received a red card, the home side took the lead close to half time following a controversial penalty decision that former Sydney FC player Dimi Petratos converted.
Bobô put the Sky Blues back on level terms only to be quickly cancelled out by a long-range goal from Nabbout.
Despite coming close a number after times after this, it wasn’t to be as Graham Arnold’s men tasted defeat for only the third time in over two seasons.
The Sky Blues will now look to bounce back against Kashima Antlers at home in the AFC Champions League on Wednesday night.

“When we got back to 1-1, I thought we would go on with it but a wonderful goal from Nabbout gave them confidence to go on.
