Sydney FC stars Nik Tsattalios, Matthew Jurman and Sam Munro earn selection in Young Socceroos squad for the AFC Championships.
Just days after making their delayed National Youth League debuts against Perth, rising Sydney FC stars Nik Tsattalios, Matthew Jurman and Sam Munro will again swap the Sky Blue for the green and gold next week after being selected in Australia-s squad for the upcoming AFC Under 19 Championships, to be contested in Saudia Arabia from next Friday.
The players were all part of the Qantas Young Socceroos side that won the ASEAN Football Federation title in Thailand earlier this month in a dramatic penalty shootout against Korea.
On Wednesday morning the Sydney trio will fly out of the Harbour City as part of Coach, Jan Versleijen-s 23 man squad for the Championships, which will serve as the qualifying tournament for the FIFA Under 20 World Cup, to be staged in Egypt next July.
Australia has been drawn in Group D for the Championships, alongside Thailand, Uzbekistan and Jordan and will play its first match on November 1.
