After a successful outing in Cronulla on Saturday night Sydney FC will return to the city-s South on Wednesday to continue its community campaign against NSW Premier League side, the Sutherland Sharks.

The Sky Blues have enjoyed a successful pre-season to date, recording eight wins from eight starts without conceding a goal, and steadily improving every time the team takes to the field.

The side is building towards the start of the new season on August 8 and took the latest step in its preparations when it cruised to a 4-nil win over its first round opponent, the North Queensland Fury last weekend in front of almost 5,500 fans at Shark Park.

Sutherland product, Brendan Gan was one of Sydney FC-s scorers in that match, and a large number of supporters are expected to be on hand again to see the former Sharks- star in action against his old team tomorrow night at Seymour Shaw Park.

Sutherland has a good record against Sydney in previous trials, beating the Sky Blues in the lead up to the 2008/09 Hyundai A-League competition, and the perennial Premier League powerhouse is sure to provide another good test for Vitezslav Lavicka-s team this season.

Sydney FC-s friendly against the Sutherland Sharks kicks-off at 7:30pm tomorrow night (Wednesday) at Seymour Shaw Park, Miranda.
