The finals may be a few weeks away, but Sydney FC are focused and ready.
Sydney FC coach Alen Stajcic says Saturday-s Westfield W League match against Adelaide is crucial to finals calculations.
Sydney FC is in good form after a 4-2 home win against Perth and Stajcic liked what he saw from that game and is hoping for a repeat performance.
Stajcic was pleased with his team-s consistent performance on the back of the one nil win against the Newcastle Jets in the previous encounter.
“There were no weaknesses and we were good in the back four,” Stajcic said.
“Our midfield was fantastic. We were good all over the park.”
He praised the efforts of Sydney FC-s Cathrine Passke, Julie Rydahl and the Sky Blue Women-s leading goal scorer, Leena Khamis.
Khamis scored a double against Perth in a devastating period for Sydney FC which included three goals in ten minutes.
Stajcic says he will use a similar preparation for the match against Adelaide.
“Our approach won-t be any different from what we-ve been doing. Our next game is a must win and we-re aiming for the top five and a home semi final,” Stajcic said.
Sydney FC will take on Adelaide United at Hindmarsh Stadium, Adelaide, on Saturday November 28 at 3:30pm.
