Sydney FC players Brendan Gan and Antony Golec will join hundreds of young boys and girls at Brighton Beach on Sunday for the 2010 Ray White Brighton Kids Beach Soccer carnival.
Ray White Brighton in partnership with Sydney FC and Rockdale City Council are hosting a fun, non-competitive series of beach soccer matches for children aged between 7-12 years.
Competition commences at 9am.
Past and present Sydney FC and Socceroos players will be available for autograph signings, with a celebrity match taking place at lunch time.
“Spreading the word about football and having aspiring young kids meet with our players is something Sydney FC has a strong focus on,” Sydney FC Community Football Officer Ryan Walsh said.
“Beach football is a fun, relaxing and different way to play the game.
“The kids will receive a Ray White Brighton Beach Soccer jersey and Sydney FC boot bag filled with stacks of Sydney FC merchandise and an MBF hat.”
Thanks to the help of sponsors Ray White Brighton, Rockdale City Council, Sydney FC, MBF, the Cancer Council, Oporto and the St John-s Ambulance, the 2010 edition will be the biggest yet.
