Bridge has missed the Sky Blues last two matches with a hamstring injury but has been declared 100% fit for the must win match taking place in the heart of Western Sydney.
The 25-year-old missed Sydney FC-s second and third game of the 2010/11 campaign before suffering his hamstring injury in the Sky Blues 1-1 draw against the Brisbane Roar on Saturday 30 October.
“It-s very frustrating sitting on the sidelines, especially because it is the second time for me this season,” Bridge said.
“It was only two weeks so it was good we had one win in that time which was against Newcastle. I felt the boys played well in the second half against the Gold Coast so hopefully we can take something from that and reverse that result this week.”
Coach Vitezslav Lavicka has used Bridge in several roles this season and again has that luxury up his sleeve this weekend thanks to Bridge-s versatility.
“I am not sure what role I will play yet. I have played attacking midfielder a lot this season but we will work on our formation on Friday and Saturday. There could be a role off the bench coming back from injury too.
“They [Perth] well last week against Melbourne. They have a good side with a lot of dangerous players that are very unpredictable and it always hard to play against a team that is coming off a win.”
Bridge also paid tribute to his attacking partner Alex Brosque, who will make his 100th A-League appearance in Sky Blue on Sunday.
“I just want to say congratulations to Brosquey. He has done very well and an excellent player. A key player every week for us.”
In their only meeting this season, Sydney FC recorded a dominant 3-0 win over Perth at nib Stadium on Sunday 24 October while in the only other match between the two sides at Parramatta Stadium Sydney FC claimed a 3-2 victory on February 7 2010.
