Penalty hero Karol Kisel believes the pressure on Sydney FC has been lifted following their inspired comeback win over Gold Coast United last Sunday.

The team is in Perth preparing for their clash with the Glory tonight but the Slovak midfielder isn-t relaxing too much.

“Maybe it-s the first time where we won-t be under pressure but it will be a really tough game especially after the travelling.

“They (Perth) have lost two games in a row, that-s why they will be under pressure.

“I hope now we will be more lucky and we will convert our chances.”

But there was no luck involved when Kisel courageously stepped up to take Sunday-s pressure penalty.

“It-s me Emo and Nicky who are the penalty takers. I told them I will take this one. I-ve got some experience so I was thinking this is a good time to use it and help the team.

“For really important penalties you have to stay calm and really focus, so that-s what I tried to do.

“I was pretty confident I would convert it and happy I did.”

And he knows just how important that win could be.

“It-s the 3rd time in a row we came from behind now so everybody knows we-ve got really good character and we never give up.

“It should help us and grow our confidence and it-s always easier to play with confidence.”
