Not only did the 7 year old meet the players and coach Vitezslav Lavicka at the home game against Central Coast Mariners but he also won the chance to toss the coin at the start of the game.
“It-s feels like everyone-s watching you. They said good luck tossing the coin and I said good luck to the Sydney FC players, then I shook both team captain-s hands.”
It was Gary-s first time on the pitch at the Sydney Football Stadium having been a Sydney FC supporter since the age of two, and he was delighted to see his team win the toss.
“I was waving to everybody and then I walked off,” said the Croydon youngster.
“I saw all my cousins and some of my soccer team. They were all waving at me.”
Gary-s dad, Chris won the prize in an auction at a Johnny Warren Football Foundation dinner.
