Vitezslav Lavicka is set to give his side a new look when they take on the high flying Melbourne Heart at the Sydney Football Stadium on Thursday night.
The Sydney FC coach wants a better performance than last week-s 2-2 draw against Adelaide United.
“We analysed the game against Adelaide and there was some things that we need to improve,” he said.
“I had a discussion with the boys individually and we-re probably going to make
some changes before we start against the Heart.”
Lavicka will definitely be without suspended captain Terry McFlynn, but has Terry Antonis, Mark Bridge, Juho Makela, Mitch Mallia, Seb Ryall and Scott Jamieson all pushing for starting spots.
“It-s a big loss for us because Terry McFlynn is captain but we have other
players available to play there so they are ready,” said the Czech coach.
“There is competition in the squad which is always good for the team and for the coaching staff.
“I hope we-ve picked the right players.”
