Jasmyne Spencer joined Sydney FC at the start of the Westfield W-League 2014 season on loan from the Western New York Flash. Spencer, aged 25, began her career playing for the New York Fury in the Womens Premier Soccer League Elite before moving to Danish club Brøndby IF following the collapse of the WPSL. Spencer made two appearances in the UEFA Champions League during her time at Brøndby before joining the Washington Spirit in 2013 to compete in the newly formed National Womens Soccer League. Spencer made a total of 13 appearances for the Sky Blues in 2014, playing every match to finish as the club’s top goal scorer with 8 goals. Her form in her first season for the Sky Blues saw Spencer win the club’s W-League Player of the Year award and prompted Head Coach Daniel Barrett to offer her a new contract for the Westfield W-League 2015/16 season.
