Sydney FC fans will be treated to a taste of Cirque du Soleil this Sunday, with an incredible diabolo performance from the production’s latest KOOZA offering, lighting up Allianz Stadium between the Sky Blues’ A-League Men and Women fixtures.
Taking place at 5.15pm, the performance will add another attraction to the October 25 double header, with supporters encouraged to stay after the Men’s 3pm match and settle in ahead of the Women’s 5.45pm kick-off.
Combining speed, precision and juggling skills, the diabolo act will bring Cirque du Soleil’s artistry to the stadium for a unique addition to the matchday entertainment.
The performer will also take part in the coin toss ahead of the women’s match.

Sydney FC defender Alex Popovic is set to get an early introduction to the act during a promotional visit on Thursday afternoon, swapping football skills with the Cirque du Soleil KOOZA artist.
“It’s exciting to have Cirque du Soleil coming to Allianz Stadium and giving our fans something extra to enjoy on Sunday,” Popovic said.
“There’s so much skill and coordination involved in what they do. I’m looking forward to having a go myself and seeing if we can teach them a few things with a football too.
“With both our teams playing and a performance between the games, it’s shaping up to be a great afternoon for everyone coming along.”
Diabolo artist Wei-Liang Lin said he was looking forward to bringing the act to a different stage.

“Performing at Allianz Stadium in front of the Sydney FC crowd will be a really exciting experience,” he said.
“We’re looking forward to sharing a little of the excitement of Cirque du Soleil with the fans and being part of such a special afternoon.”
With Cirque du Soleil performing in Sydney through to January, Sky Blues supporters will also have the opportunity to experience a full show at a discounted price.
