Sydney FC has secured its home for the next quarter of a century, signing a landmark 25-year agreement that guarantees the club’s future at Allianz Stadium and gives it greater control of its matchday experience.
The agreement is one of the most significant in the club’s history.

It gives the Sky Blues, our Members and supporters, Partners, players and staff long-term certainty at the stadium where so many of our defining moments have happened.
The deal gives the club a firm foundation to plan ambitiously, deepen its connection with supporters and build on more than two decades at Moore Park.
It also gives the next generation of Socceroos and Matildas in the Sydney FC Academy the confidence that their future lies with Sydney FC at Allianz Stadium.
The club will also have greater control over matchday operations, with more scope to shape the atmosphere, entertainment and fan experience at home games.
Sydney FC Owner and Director Alina Barlow said the agreement was a defining moment for the club.

“This is a monumental day for Sydney FC. Securing our home for the next 25 years gives our club, our Members and our supporters certainty for a generation,” Barlow said.
“Allianz Stadium holds an extraordinary place in our history. It is where our club began, where we have celebrated our greatest triumphs and where generations of supporters have fallen in love with the Sky Blue.
“Children coming to their first game can now grow up knowing this will remain their club’s home, and that one day they could walk out wearing the Sky Blue.

“For the next generation of players in our Academy, it gives them the confidence to know their future lies with Sydney FC, at Allianz Stadium.
“We can now plan boldly, grow our support and write the next great chapter of Sydney FC’s history.”
Barlow said greater control of matchdays would bring real benefits for supporters.

“Our fans are at the heart of everything we do. Greater control on matchdays gives us the freedom to make the experience reflect who we are and what our supporters value,” she said.
“We want every home game to be an occasion people look forward to, from the moment they arrive to the final whistle, and to make Allianz Stadium feel even more like home.”
The Allianz Stadium site has been central to Sydney FC’s story since its inaugural season.
It was here that Dwight Yorke set up Steve Corica’s winner in the 2006 Grand Final to deliver the club’s first Championship. Four years later, John Aloisi’s unforgettable Valentine’s Day strike against Melbourne Victory sealed its first Premiership.

Alessandro Del Piero announced himself to the home crowd with a trademark free kick against Newcastle Jets in 2012. In 2017, Rhyan Grant’s Grand Final equaliser and the penalty shootout win that followed delivered another Championship, and it was followed by one of two Australia Cup Final wins at the ground.
Sydney FC’s Women have written their own history here too, from Teresa Polias’ spectacular long-range strike against Melbourne City in 2017 to the 4–0 win over Newcastle Jets that clinched a historic third consecutive Premiership in 2023, and setting a record A-League Women’s crowd of over 11,000 in the Sydney Derby later that year.
Those triumphs, along with fiercely contested Sydney Derbies, Big Blues and blockbuster international fixtures, including Tottenham Hotspur and Wrexham in front of passionate crowds, have made Moore Park sacred ground for the Sky Blue community.

Minister for Sport Steve Kamper said this is a great result for Sydney FC and its fans.
“What a way to kick off the new A-Leagues season, with the biggest club in the competition securing its long-term home right here in the world’s best sporting city,” Mr Kamper said.
“For the next 25 years, Sydney FC fans will continue to call Allianz Stadium home, bringing the passion and energy that have helped shape the club’s remarkable success story.”

Allianz Stadium Chief Executive Officer Kerrie Mather said the agreement strengthened the relationship between Sydney FC and its home ground.
“It’s an exciting day for football in Sydney,” Ms Mather said. “Extending our 25-year partnership with Sydney FC gives the club and its fans a long-term place to call home.
“From Championship celebrations to unforgettable Sydney Derbies, Sydney FC has helped create some of Allianz Stadium’s most famous moments.
“We look forward to continuing to work with the club to build on that legacy, enhance the match-day experience and welcome generations of Sky Blue supporters to Allianz Stadium.”
The stadium that defined Sydney FC’s past will now stay at the heart of its future for the next quarter of a century, starting with tonight’s Sydney Derby A-League season opener.
