Sydney FC are about to lock horns with Welsh club Wrexham AFC in a pre-season friendly at Allianz Stadium.
This is set to be a brilliant night of international football as the glitz and glamour of Wrexham meet Australia’a most successful side, Sydney FC.

When should we get there?
With a large crowd in attendance, we recommend that you arrive at the precinct early. Gates open 90 minutes before kick off and there is also plenty to do around the Moore Park area beforehand.

Coming all the way from Wales, The Turf Bar (the legendary pub made famous in Welcome to Wrexham) with a full-scale pop-up will be serving Wrexham Lager and Aviation American Gin. Hosted by The Turf’s own Wayne Jones, it’s a true slice of Wrexham brought to Sydney.
You can head to the Wrexham Fan Zone which will have club merchandise, and interactive fan zone with activities & appearances from the Wrexham players and officials.
Sydney FC will have a pop up marquee at the bottom of the stairs where you can get your Sydney FC questions answered and you can also buy merchandise so you can deck yourself out in the latest kits.
All activations will start at 6pm and run until Kick Off at 7:30pm.
How do I get there?

With up to 35,000 football fans expected, ticket holders are urged to plan ahead and consider the public transport options to avoid heavy traffic.
Transport
- Match tickets include travel on all public transport, simply show your ticket to transport staff when boarding services.
- Trains and metro services run regularly to the city where you can catch frequent light rail services to and from Moore Park. The Moore Park light rail stop is a short walk across from Allianz Stadium. Regular route buses make stops nearby along Anzac Parade and Oxford Street. After the game additional express shuttle buses will run back to Central as well as regular route buses to the east.
- Consider walking between Central and Moore Park via Foveaux Street or Devonshire Street and the Albert ‘Tibby’ Cotter Walkway (about 25 minutes) to avoid wait times for transport pre- and post-game.

- NOTE: Planned evening trackwork may affect how you travel home by train.
- From 9.40pm, trains will not run between Central and Wynyard, or on the City Circle. Stay on the light rail from Moore Park to continue to Wynyard for connecting trains or change at Central for metro services.
- T1 trains will make extra stops at Flemington, Homebush and Burwood, and some T9 trains make extra stops at Croydon and Ashfield.
- Buses also replace T2 and T3 Inner West Line trains between Central and Strathfield. Catch replacement buses or regular route buses from Central Station.
Driving
- Driving is not recommended as parking on site is limited and traffic will already be heavy during the busy weeknight peak.
- If you must drive, carpool with your group and plan to arrive early – there are plenty of local venues to enjoy pre-game. Grass car parks on Driver Avenue will open from 4.30pm and parking is available at the Entertainment Quarter 24 hours a day. Limited parking will also be available at Sydney Boys and Sydney Girls high schools, and at Moore Park Golf Course. Flat rate parking fees apply.
- Have a back-up plan in case car parks are full when you arrive. Consider parking at a station or car park near you and continuing your trip to Moore Park by public transport.
- Special event clearway parking restrictions will be in effect on roads in the area, check signs carefully when parking to avoid being towed.
- Driver Avenue will be partially closed outside the stadium from 5pm and will reopen once crowds have safely cleared the area. No through-traffic will be available on Driver Avenue, however access to EP2 Kippax car park will be maintained via Moore Park Road and access to EP3 grass car park and drop-off areas will be maintained from Lang Road. Grass car parks open from 4.30pm.
Parking
Parking will be in high demand and will fill quickly. Carpool with your group and aim to arrive early to secure a parking space.
- Entertainment Quarter Wilson car park: Open 24 hours. Flat rate event parking fees apply. Entry via Errol Flynn Boulevard from Lang Road.
- Kippax Park (EP2) grass car park (limited capacity due to upgrade works): Open from 4.30pm. Entry via the northern end of Driver Ave from Moore Park Road.
- Showground Field (EP3) grass car park: Open from 4.30pm. Cashless, flat rate event parking fees apply. Entry on Driver Avenue via Lang Road.
- Sydney Boys High School and Sydney Girls High School: Car Park open from around 4.30pm. Cashless, flat rate event parking fees apply. Entry via Cleveland Street. Use the Anzac Parade pedestrian bridge to get to and from Allianz Stadium.
- Moore Park Golf Course: flat rate event parking fees apply. Entry via Cleveland Street.

Special Event Clearways
Special event clearways will be in place on roads in Moore Park and surrounding areas from 3pm to midnight on sections of Albion Street, Lang Road and Moore Park Road, and from 6am to midnight on Cleveland Street and Fitzroy Street.

- Cleveland Street between South Dowling Street and City Road (southern side)
- Cleveland Street between Abercrombie Street and South Dowling Street (northern side)
- Fitzroy Street between South Dowling Street and Bourke Street (northern side)
From 3pm to midnight
- Albion Street between Bourke Street and Flinders Street (both sides)
- Lang Road between Anzac Parade and Errol Flynn Boulevard (northern side)
- Moore Park Road between Flinders Street and Greens Road (northern side)
- Moore Park Road between Cook Road and Poate Road (southern side)
- Moore Park Road from 80m west of Oatley Road to 75m east of Oatley Road (northern side)
Clearways are strict no-parking zones and also apply to local residents and Mobility Scheme Permit holders. Check signs before parking as vehicles left in special event clearways will be towed and a towing fee applies. 4:30pm – Grass Car Parks Open
The grass car parks on Driver Avenue & the Sydney Boys High School Car Park will open at 4:30pm AEST with the Entertainment Quarter & Moore Park Golf Club open all day.
5:30pm – Box Office Opens
The box office will open at 5:30pm AEST before gates open so fans can snag their last minute tickets.
6:00pm – Fanzone Opens
The fanzone will open at 6pm AEST where you can make your way along to meet players and try some Wrexham Lager in The Turf.
6:00pm – Gates Open
The gates to Allianz Stadium will open and fans can make their way to their seats at 6pm AEST.
6:45pm – Warm Up Commences
Both teams will enter the pitch to warm up at 6:45pm AEST.
