Harrison Devenish-Meares has been handed a one game suspension following his red card in the Round 7 clash with Central Coast Mariners.
The independent MRP considered an incident in relation to Harrison Devenish-Meares (Devenish-Meares) of Sydney FC (Sydney) in or around the 42nd minute of Sydney’s Isuzu UTE A-League Men match against Central Coast Mariners FC on Sunday, 8 December 2024.
In accordance with the Regulations, the MRP has the authority to consider the incident as Devenish-Meares was issued with a direct Red Card by the Referee.
The MRP determined that Devenish-Meares committed the offence of ”Denying the opposing team an obvious goal-scoring opportunity, as prescribed in Law 12 of the Laws of the Game”. The Minimum Sanction for the offence is one (1) match, being the Mandatory Match Suspension.
The MRP confirmed that Devenish-Meares will serve a suspension of one (1) match, being the Minimum Sanction for the offence, before being eligible for selection for Sydney’s Isuzu UTE A-League match against Adelaide United on 20th December 2024.
