Sydney FC are offering their loyal Members and fans the chance to own a piece of Sky Blues history with the club’s inaugural Westfield FFA Cup jerseys going up for auction this week.
There are 43 of the match jerseys available, with 41 being match worn. Bidding will run all week and close on Friday 5th December at 7pm.
You could be the lucky person to hold the jersey Ali Abbas wore as he slotted two penalties against Melbourne City, or the shirt Christopher Naumoff scored two wonder strikes in when we played Sydney United in the round of 16.
Part of the proceeds of the auction will go to our Charity Partner Football United, whose Ambassadors Vedran Janjetovic, Ali Abbas and Alex Brosque competed in the inaugural Cup competition this season.
Since 2009 Sydney FC has been a proud ongoing partner with Football United who use the magic of football to bring people together for the common goal of creating harmonious and cohesive societies.
Sydney FC Chief Executive Tony Pignata said he was pleased to be auctioning the jerseys in association with Football United.
“These jerseys, while only young, are rich with history,” he said.
“I’m sure there’s quite a few people out there eyeing off their favourite players’ shirt and this is their only chance to have it.
“We’ve been proudly associated with Football United for a number of years and I’m glad that we’re able to give something back to Football United through this charity auction.”
The auction can be accessed in the auction section of my.sydneyfc.com with two of each player’s jerseys available except for Alex Brosque, with one of his jerseys remaining with Sydney FC to be displayed as a part of our history with our trophies and accolades.
