Ins and Outs | Young Matildas return

Ante Juric has plenty of players at his disposal following the return of the six Sky Blues who were part of the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup for the past month.

This is perfect timing for Juric with the unfortunate injury to Kirsty Fenton who has ruptured her ACL and will spend an elongated time on the sideline.

Lucy Johnson has also picked up an ankle injury in training which has seen her require a boot to walk with her foot swollen. She will be out for a number of weeks and will hopefully be back for finals football.

Nat Tobin and Fiona Worts also remain sidelined during this season.

On a more positive note, Princess Ibini is included in the extended squad again after she missed out the trip to Canberra with a calf strain and while minor, the decision was made to not risk further injury.

Zara, Indi, Shay and Maddie are all included in the extended squad and they will have to impress in training to get their spots back in the starting eleven for this clash against Adelaide United.
