Sydney FC extend Under Armour partnership

Sydney FC has agreed a new three season partnership with global sportswear giant Under Armour and will continue to wear playing strips and uniform made exclusively for Sydney FC.

The Sky Blues are lucky to be one of the world’s only clubs to have their kit specifically designed and built with their own identity and city in mind.

Since the launch of the partnership in July 2019, Under Armour have taken into account Sydney FC’s brand uniqueness and modelled their distinctive designs on the ‘built for Sydney’ concept.

Sydney Opera House ceramic roof tiles have been sublimated into the designs in various forms and on numerous occasions, while the conceptualisation of the Sydney skies has had a major influence on the design colours.

The iconic motto ‘Sydney Is Sky Blue’ has also been a regular feature on the back of each jersey.

Sydney FC Chief Executive Adam Santo praised Under Armour’s commitment to providing Sydney FC players and Members with custom-made kits and is pleased to be continuing a strong partnership with the world leading sports brand.

“Under Armour are a premium brand and despite significant interest from other parties we value our great partnership and are delighted to be continuing for another three seasons,” he said.

“Under Armour have really bought into what it means to be part of the Sydney FC family and represent this great city.

“We are extremely fortunate to have partner who values our relationship to this extent and is prepared to go above and beyond to produce bespoke jerseys for our club.”

The sails of the Opera House featured throughout the design of this season’s kit.

The signing of the partnership extension will make Under Amour the longest serving apparel partner in Sydney FC’s history by extending the agreement to seven years.
