Sydney FC has proudly hosted its inaugural Female Football Festival in Kiama with resounding success!
With over 300 participants and 700 attendees, the festival was a fantastic celebration of the upcoming 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, showcasing the sport’s growing popularity and inspiring young girls to get involved.
The young players were also able to enjoy a meet and greet opportunity with the Sydney FC Women’s team, where they had a chance to take photos and get autographs from their football heroes.
Sydney FC Defender, Anna Green, was on hand to catch all the fun and spoke about the importance of supporting the ongoing participation of young girls’ in sport.
She said: “I think that visibility is really key, and this is such a cool opportunity that Sydney FC has provided through this tournament. It’s been awesome to see it.”
Sydney FC are already planning the second Female Football Festival with the event expected to take place in April 2024 and early bookings are recommended.
