Sydney FC has re-signed star Liberty A-League Women’s striker and two time Golden Boot winner Remy Siemsen for the 2022-23 season.
The 22-year old Matildas forward will return for the Sky Blues at her home ground of Cromer Park this Saturday in a huge Grand Final re-match against Melbourne Victory.
Siemsen has spent the past eight months playing for Swedish club AIK and returns to Sydney FC following the conclusion of the Swedish season.
She has her eyes firmly fixed on a fantastic season in Sky Blue, plus a spot in the Matildas’ squad for the FIFA Women’s World Cup next year.
“I’m excited to be coming back and I want to have a great season of playing and training to get into that squad in the next seven months,” she said.
“I love playing for Sydney FC, I feel it’s going to be big season for us and we’ve got another fabulous squad.

“I’m delighted to be heading back in time for our game at Manly United against Melbourne Victory.
“A Grand Final rematch on my home patch is the perfect way to start again.”
Head Coach Ante Juric welcomed Siemsen back and is happy with the way his squad is looking.
“It’s great to have Remy back, it means we’ve got really strong competition for places with Madison, Shay and Jynaya up front.
“Remy has gained a lot more experience professionally by playing in Sweden over the past eight months and we will benefit from that experience.
“I’m sure she will be desperate to score in front of her home crowd in Manly this Saturday.”
Siemsen begins training this week with the Sydney FC Liberty A-League Women’s squad and will go straight into the squad to face Victory at Cromer Park on Saturday afternoon at 3pm.
