Having played more games for Sydney FC than any other club, midfielder Milos Dimitrijevic says he feels at home with the Sky Blues.
Embarking on his fourth season at Allianz Stadium, the Serbian midfielder returned to training on Monday and set his sights on winning the league with Sydney FC in 2016/17.
“It’s my third and a half or fourth season and I feel like I’m at home here,” Dimitrijevic said.
“I know everyone and it’s a pleasure to be here and I hope I will stay here for a long time.
“I always can’t wait to start the league but before that we have a very important game in the FFA Cup.
“I’m looking forward to getting ready and being fit and to have a good season,” he continued.
“The most important goal for me and for us as a team is to win. I think this is the most important and we will do everything for this. The goal is to win the league.”
Monday’s training session provided Dimitrijevic and the Sky Blues’ foreign contingent a chance to meet new signings Michael Zullo and Alex Wilkinson for the first time, and Dimitrijevic praised the pair saying they’ll be heavily involved this year.
“I’m happy to be back to see all the boys and all the staff and of course meet the new players,” he said.
“You can see straight away that they are very good players and I think definitely they will be a big help for us and they will be a very big part of the team so I’m happy to have them here.”
Training will continue for the Sky Blues ahead of their first pre-season fixture against Earlwood Wanderers in the Johnny Warren Community Challenge on Wednesday 20 July at Leichhardt Oval (kick off 7:30pm).
